Because of taking care of the health of his wife and family, Snoop Dogg has announced to give up smoking. Can he do it?

Snoop Dogg has taken to social media to announce a significant lifestyle change, revealing that he’s giving up his most renowned vice.

“I’m giving up smoke,” Snoop Dogg posted on both X and Instagram. “After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

The announcement came without a specified reason for the sudden decision, leaving fans curious about whether the noted cannabis enthusiast is abstaining strictly from cannabis smoking. Some speculate that the 52-year-old rapper might transition to cannabis edibles to protect his lungs.

Snoop Dogg has been synonymous with cannabis throughout his career, dating back to his guest appearances on Dr. Dre’s 1992 album, “The Chronic.” Similar to tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke can irritate the lungs and contains volatile chemicals and tar, raising concerns about potential health risks, including cancer and lung disease, for heavy users.

Despite the announcement, there’s skepticism surrounding Snoop Dogg’s commitment to quitting smoking, considering his iconic association with cannabis. This isn’t the first time he has declared an intention to give up smoking, leading many to question whether this is a serious decision or a temporary pledge.
