UPDATE: Jaylen Brown’s Injury Status In Cavs-Celtics Game

On Tuesday evening, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers in Massachusetts.   

During the game, All-Star forward Jaylen Brown went to the locker room with an ankle injury.  

There has been no official announcement from the team on Brown’s status for the remainder of the game.

Brown came into the evening with averages of 21.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 34.1% from the three-point range in 20 games. 

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 16-5 record in their first 21 games. 



They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the New York Knicks by a score of 133-123 (at home in Boston on Friday). 

In 27 minutes of playing time, Brown had 17 points, four rebounds, one steal and one block while shooting 5/9 from the field. 

Following Tuesday’s game, the Celtics will host the Cavs (again) on Thursday night in Boston. 

As for the Cavs, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 13-10 record in their first 23 games.  

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Orlando Magic (on Monday in Florida) by a score of 104-94. 

Darius Garland led the team with 36 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals while shooting 11/23 from the field.
