NBA Postpones Mavs vs. Warriors in Wake of Assistant Coach Death

The NBA has postponed the Dallas Mavericks game against the Golden State Warriors that was scheduled for Friday night in San Francisco. DALTON TRIGG 9 HOURS AGO

The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the most banged up teams this season with several key players dealing with injuries. They’ll be getting a much-needed rest throughout the rest of this week, but they just wish it was under better circumstances.

According to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the NBA is postponing the Mavs’ game at the Golden State Warriors that was scheduled for Friday in the wake of the unexpected death of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.

“The NBA is postponing Friday’s Warriors-Mavericks game after the sudden death of Golden State assistant Dejan Milojevic, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Warriors-Jazz was postponed Wednesday night following the tragic passing,” Charania posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Some things are bigger than basketball, and the Warriors understandably need time to mourn before they’re in any suitable mindset to step on the court again. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Warriors’ organization and the Milojevic family during this tough time.
