He then announced on Wednesday that he will make the move this summer, bringing an end to his dominance in European football.Despite the news being so recent, Messi appears to have been keen on living in across the pond almost four years ago.Spanish outlet Cadena Ser reported in 2020 that he bought a Miami apartment in the Porsche Design Tower in roughly mid-2019.Reporter Jose Antonio Ponseti said: “If you have asked for all the luxury of details, the price is not below €8million.”The building allows you to take your car up to the apartment in a special elevator.”He is said to have bought an apartment for around £7.2million, and the building does in fact allow residents to park their car on their respective floor.



Essentially, there is a garage in your living room. There is also a ‘car concierge’ that maintains and services the motor.The 60-floor tower with 132 residential units, is the brainchild of property mogul Gil Dezer, and resides between Bal Harbour and Aventura, while it is just seconds away from Miami’s golden, sandy beach, a perfect location for one of sport’s greats.Apartments offer very modern and swank homes for its residents, as well as stunning views of the surrounding area.In addition it has its own private restaurant, an outdoor lounge that faces the sea, while there is also a cinema, golf and racing simulators.

Considering his contract, which runs until 2026, is reportedly set to earn him between £100m and £120m, he should be okay when it comes to the bills.Messi is also said to want his children to be educated in the United States, and a move will allow just that.He will now play for a Miami side who currently sit bottom of MLS after 16 games.
