The NBA has suspended Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green indefinitely for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkić in the face during Tuesday’s game, the league announced Wednesday.
Joe Dumars, NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations, said in a statement Green’s “repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts” was a factor in their decision.
Green’s suspension will begin immediately. The NBA said he will be “required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play.” The 33-year-old is expected to receive counseling and work with the Warriors and NBA while suspended, league sources told The Athletic.
