Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is playing vs. the Raptors
The Golden State Warriors are at home on Sunday night to face the Raptors, and superstar point guard Steph Curry will be available. This is the first game that Draymond Green is no longer listed on the injury report due to his suspension, having been reinstated by the NBA, but he remains out due to return to play reconditioning.
With Green out, along with Chris Paul, the Warriors will likely have the ball in Curry’s hands more than they usually do. While Curry is of course the point guard, he often plays off the ball in Golden State’s motion offense, which allows initiators like Paul and Green to make plays off Curry’s constant movement. Without those two playmakers, the Warriors may have no choice but to let Curry handle the ball more.
The Raptors are in a very interesting spot right now, having already traded away OG Anunoby, and expected to trade away Pascal Siakam as well. The Warriors have been one of the teams with speculated interest in Siakam; however, nothing too concrete has been reported on that front.
Currently sitting in 10th place at 17-18, the Warriors have a very slim margin for error between now and the rest of the season. The difference between a playoff spot and missing the play-in entirely could be just a few games, which makes all of them important for Golden State.
