It’s been over six years since I left Barcelona with Neymar to join Paris Saint-Germain in a lucrative move. We’ve shared a lot of struggles during our time in Paris and often longed for our days back at Barça.

Over Neymar’s six seasons with PSG, he battled constant injuries and fell out of favor with fans. Towards the end, he and I were targets of animosity among supporters. It was an undoubtedly challenging period for Neymar.

He recently acknowledged we “went through some bad things” at PSG and miss Barcelona greatly. I have to agree – while success eventually came in Paris, it was never quite the same as our glory days together at Barça.

Neymar only managed five matches in his first six months at new club Al Hilal before sustaining another long-term knee injury. There was some talk of Neymar returning to Barcelona but realistically, a reunion likely won’t happen. Still, we’ll always reminisce fondly on our prolific partnership at Camp Nou.
